Boliden - Then (2018)

After his propulsive travelogue "Landscape and Memory" in 2016, Boliden lowers the BPM and lets his mind wander on his return to Oxtail. "Then" is thick with late night moods: bombed-out samples keep the lights low, deep reverb casts long shadows, and fragments of melody flicker in and out of your peripheral vision. Guitar and vocals are pushed further into the forefront, adding to the nocturnal confessional feel, while remaining immersed in the signature Boliden haze.
