In 1979, Quasar was formed with Keith Turner and Mike Kenwright. Progressive rock songs. Soon they found Steve Clark, John Clark and Jeff Banks, and so the band began. It didn't take long for the potential of the musicians to be realized as John Clark left to join Bruford Earthworks Bill, Steve Clarke went on tour with Billy Cobham and Mike Kenwright left to join another band. Kvazar was soon joined by Cyrus Hajavi on guitar , on the keyboard, Paul Vigrasskak vocalist, Peter Weir on keyboards, Peter Shade on fluids and keyboards, iStin Douging on drums. Keith Turner worked on bass, Mug Taurus and a twelve-string guitar. In 1981, their debut album, Fire in the Sky, was released. After a short explosion show, Paul Wigress, Steen Dousing, Peter Shade and Peter Weir left the band to replace Susan Robinson, who had just left David Cairns’s solstice on drums and Dillon Tonkin on keyboards. This stable lineup made hundreds of shows over the next few years culminating in headliners at the Marquee Club in the same months as their contemporaries, Marillion, Pendragon, IQ, Twelfth Night, Solstice and Pallada. In 1985, David Cairns and Cyrus Hajawi were replaced by Dave Wagstaff iKevin Fitzgerald, and they recorded a track for the EMI collection “Fire in Harmony”, which reached number 49 in Kerrang! rock album charts. Unfortunately, life on the road has taken its toll, and some participants need to be replaced again. The new members were Tracy Hitchins on vocals, Steve Ly on the keyboard and Uwe D'Rose on the guitar. The new Loreli album was launched, but during the recording Steve Lee and Uwe D'Rose left, replaced by Toshi Tsuchiya with a guitar and mid-keyboard for keyboard.Loreli was completed and released in 1989, and this led the group to further develop. To perform in Europe as well as in the UK. Despite this, several members left Landmarq to form a solo career. Quasar was silent for several years, until in 2006 founding member Keith Turner reformed Quasar with new members Paul Jomson (drums), Robert Robinson (vocals / keyboards), Keren Gaiser ( vocals / keyboards) and Clancy Ferrill (guitars) and a new album is expected soon.
