Have you ever imagined eight cellos leading you in an energetic round through a colourful, energetic repertoire? Ô-Celli sweeps us away with a programme centred on dance, combining highly diverse influences with the discovery of rearranged works from the major repertoire and original pieces dedicated to this ensemble.

Stemming from the obvious, contagious passion of eight cellists, all chamber players and, for the most part, members of major symphony orchestras – including the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre National de Lille –, here the octet takes up the wager of proposing original arrangements with mixed accents, thereby inviting us on a ‘custom-made’ journey organized round works by Strauss, Stravinsky, Borodin and the inevitable Piazzolla, whilst honouring two talented young composers of our time: Harold Noben and Oriol Cruixent.
