Philadelphia based Blessed End released only one album The Doors influenced Movin' On.
With an overly psychedelic sound and with keyboards and a singer sounding quite like Manzarek and Morrison the comparisons were inevitable. Their single album was fairly solid if unspectacular with all 10 tracks being composed by the band. Stand out songs included "Sometimes You`ve Got To Be Strong", "Movin` On" and "Nightime Rider". The guitarist on the album was Steve Quinzi who had replaced original guiratist Perchowski in late 1970.
Movin' On only ran to 1000 original copies complete with home made artwork and is now extremely rare. Carson was the first to leave, joining the navy, and the band lost momentum. One further recording was undertaken with a replacement bassist, a remake of "Can`t Be Without Her". Rick Swanson came in on bass and then Shugarts quit to be replaced by Ernie Fletsig who in turn was replaced by Lou Grieco. Things ended pretty messily.
Shugarts, Carson & Petrylak got together in 1973 and played together as Free Beer who released one album in the 1970`s before changing their name to Argus.
They reformed in 1998 and made several radio appearances in support of the re-issue of Movin' On.
