After her debut in the Kleine Zaal in 2012 pianist Julia Achkinazy presents a new program. With a monumental sonata by Schumann, an introspective work by Liszt and works by Ravel, Skrjabin and Rachmaninoff that balance on the border of dreams and reality.

Julia Achkinazy's piano playing is characterized by a visionary interpretation, accompanied by Russian virtuosity and remarkably elegant and refined tone-making. After her successful debut in Het Concertgebouw in 2012, many concerts followed in the Netherlands. Now she presents a new program in the Kleine Zaal.

Reality, dream or fantasy?
After Funérailles of the philosophical Liszt, Schumann's quest follows in his monumental First Sonata, opus 11. After the break, we ended up in another world: a dream world or is it reality? Reality, dream or fantasy?
With, among others, Ravels Gaspard de la Nuit and preludes by Rachmaninoff.
