HER is a solo artist born form New York roots with ties to the Nashville music scene. HER is essentially Monique Staffile, a musician with a sound similar to nothing and everything at the same time. She creates an intersection of rock, pop, electronic and country styles to make her sound one of a kind and not solely definitive to any single genre.

Revolution is HER’s second solo album and incorporates all the elements necessary to spark listener’s ears and attract experimental music fans. Revolution opens with “Tonight,” a song full of colorful vocal texture and intriguing use of vocal layering techniques with inspirational and fun lyrics to keep your energy high. The title track is a much grittier song with more diverse elements collated from rock/pop and electronic music, with a heavy country guitar flair. With all these elements “Revolution” is a song built to illicit a kind of rallying mentality. HER closes the album with “Mean Man,” which is perhaps the most fun track off the record. “Mean Man” has solid, quirky vocals, with a firm, rock style with additive vocal effects to create an even edgier sound.
