GENE WATSON - At Last (1991)

Well, on the album cover he doesn't dress like a lounge country singer, but that's sure the way the man sings. At Last doesn't sink completely into the schmaltzy stuff, but it comes close -- a lot of the album sounds like Jim Reeves having a bad day, and there's very little serious country music going on ("You Can't Get Arrested in Nashville" is downright embarrassing.)
