Štěpán Filípek - František Emmert: Skladby pro violoncello a klavír (2019)

The first impulses that later led the cellist Štěpán Filípek and pianist Ondrej Olos to make the album František Emmert: works for cello and piano took place in the first decade of the 21st century, when, as JAMU students, they were frequent interpreters of the author's compositions, especially in the Studio of Contemporary Music, or Festival of New Music. The collaboration with the composer culminated when František Emmert wrote the Sonata No. 3 for the Cello and Piano "Melody Song" in 2012, which is dedicated to both artists and premiered at the Forfest Festival. An interesting or unclear chapter of Emmert's work for this instrumental cast is the lost Sonata No. 2 for cello and piano, after which the composer searched unsuccessfully until his death. Her fate is still unclear.
