Intense, Soulful and Sassy, Alice Marie is endowed with incredible agility and wile flexibility. The singer, songwriter, and classically-trained violinist is fully equipped, whether nimbly oozing her way through the complexities of a classical cadenza, or ricocheting off the backboard of those tricky, oddly-timed rhythms of traditional Celtic music.

When she shows up in heels on the icy edge of a rock ‘n roll stage in front of thousands, or goes barefoot and tiptoes around the warm, smooth glass and amber lights of jazz and blues, Alice Marie knows one thing: PASSION.

Alice Marie performs with Barleyjuice that has toured Ireland and performed in premier Celtic Festivals throughout the country; often sharing the bill with legendary acts Derek Warfield (Wolfe Tones), Carbon Leaf, and Gaelic Storm. They performed for the Bay City Rollers’ 40th Anniversary Concert in Philadelphia, as well as the iconic Shamrock Series at Fenway Park in November 2015.

She's recorded on countless industry projects with such jazz moguls as Tony DeSantis, Fred Scott, Skip Spratt, and Grammy-recipient, Joshua Yudkin. Alice Marie also performed on Michael LeCompt’s rollicking rock ditty, “Son of Ireland,” which aired on VH-1’s special feature about the Irish Boxer and Olympic Medalist, John Joe Nevin.

Alice Marie is the recipient of an Honorarium from the University of Pennsylvania; offering supplemental music performance instruction to children in West Philadelphia, where she has also collaborated with Aja Graydon of Kindred the Family Soul. She and the students recently performed on “Good Day, Philadelphia,” as well as with fellow members of the jazz-funk-fusion group, The Big Unkle. Alice Marie has studied with The Curtis Institute's Don Marrazzo, Phyllis Chapell and participated in improvisation master classes with Grammy-winner, David Darling.

Currently, Alice Marie focuses on honoring female icons, such as the late-great Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Etta James, Marilyn Monroe, and Katherine Hepburn, to name a few. She will perform as part of the Freedom Segment, opening for The Rebirth Brass Band, at The Arden Theatre, as well as the famous Firefly Music Festival, as part of a talented super-cohort named The Sit Down (an album on which she also performed, in addition to a ground-quaking live LP with Barleyjuice, released this previous 2018 Tour). Alice Marie soon incepts her new album of solo material, entitled “Woman Makes, The World Takes” in 2019. She will continue her collaboration with Keep Music Alive and various Senior Citizen and Community Centers; in the hopes of bringing about positive change through the healing powers of music.
