Something About Sanna - Music for President (2019)

Two years ago, singer and pianist Sanna van Vliet, drummer Joost Kesselaar and bassist Sven Schuster were accidentally brought together for a concert. They clicked so well that they immediately made plans to form a trio. This twist in the path of their musical careers resulted in Something About Sanna. Van Vliet and Schuster write the trio’s repertoire and the ensemble’s fresh sound and original music set them apart from other traditional piano trios. Something About Sanna play catchy melodies bursting with swinging grooves against a background of complex rhythmic twists and turns that are performed with ease. All this is carried by Van Vliet’s beautiful vocals and her voice and piano unisons are unique.
