Songs everyone knows, performed in a way that no one expects. The Denver based brass band was a nominee in the 2018 Best of Westword, and features a bit of asupergroup of talent: Troy Thill (Oxycodone, Lost Dog Ensemble) on alto sax; Zachary Simms(Future Joy) on bari sax; Steve Illich (Sammy Mayfield Blues Revue, Disco Floyd) and Michael Gates(Alpha Schoolmarm Orchestra) on trumpet; David Dinsmore (Judge Roughneck, Lost Dog Ensemble) and David Flomberg (Money Plays 8, Alpha Schoolmarm Orchestra, Disco Floyd) on trombone; Joe Walsh (leads theDU Pioneers Pep Band) on Tuba; and Dean Hirschfield (FaceMan), Rachel Hargroder(Playground Ensemble) and Dustin Arndt (New York Street Boys) all on percussion.
