Massa Dembele - Alumaye (2019)

Alumaye is the second international release from Burkinabe singer-songwriter Massa Dembele. Dembele's musical stylings center around the ethereal sound of the kamele n'goni harp which he weaves into a musical pallet that includes layers of indigenous percussion, balaphon, bass and guitar. On Alumaye Massa expresses both the joys and sorrows of life in post-colonial West Africa through a blend of modern afropop and the traditional sounds of western Burkina Faso.
