A rare CD outing for one of Sudan's best-known performers, 'Merdoum Kings Play Songs Of Love' is an enthralling showcase for Salim's unique fusion of "hot" African rhythms and Arabic melodies. More than any other performer, he has popularised the rich, largely untapped musical traditions of Sudan; here he is backed with a full 'All Star' band of electric bass & guitar, violins, sax and percussion.
