KOTOA - Out of the Dark EP (2026)

London-based quintet Kotoa, operating out of Brixton, released their second EP Out of the Dark via Wah Wah 45s, produced by Benedic Lamdin (Nostalgia 77). Following their 2025 Earthwise EP, the five-track collection merges dub, trip-hop, soul, and afrobeat with elements of the UK jazz revival. The group's sound pairs heavy basslines, brass arrangements, and expressive vocals with themes of self-acceptance, liberation through movement, and social consciousness, featuring guest contributions from Emma Smith and former Youthsayers members Noah Black and Fin Öhrström.
