Denny Gerrard - Sinister Morning (Remastered) (1970/2008)

It happened shortly after his arrival in the UK, when the South African student Denver Gerrard began to make his first steps on the British music scene. In 1965, Jimmy Page took it under his wing to make half of the duo "The Fifth Avenue", while the manager of "Rolling Stones" Andrew Loog Oldham included Danny as an arranger in the project "The Variations". Then on the way Gerrard met Barry Younghusband, and as a team of "Warm Sounds" they soon broke into the top 30 with the hit "Birds And Bees". However, they quickly became bored and the pop duo split, Gerrard became interested in producing and the debut album of the London band "High Tide" in 1969 was warmly received by critics. It is not surprising, therefore, that when the South African Englishman began work on his debut solo album, the musicians of "High Tide" did not refuse to help him. Nevertheless, as a result, this album, which became the only one, was a much larger reflection of Gerrard's own musical vision than the sound of the "High Tide" itself.
