Stefan Temmingh - Birds (2015)

Das erste gemeinsame »fulminante Album« (FonoForum) von Sopranistin Dorothee Mields und dem südafrikanischen Blockflötisten Stefan Temmingh wurde gleichermaßen von Publikum und Presse hochgelobt und überzeugte mit »erheblichem künstlerischem Wert« (Aachener Zeitung).
Vogelstimmen in der Barockmusik stehen im Mittelpunkt der neuen gemeinsamen CD. Mit Werken von Couperin, Fedeli, Rameau, Keiser, Torri bis hin zu Händels »Sweet Bird« und Vivaldis berühmten Concerto »Il Gardellino« (Der Distelfink) gibt Mields gemeinsam mit Temmingh und dessen Ensemble The Gentleman's Band und Musikern des La Folia Barockorchesters prachtvollen und virtuosen musikalischen Vogelgesang von Nachtigall, Distelfink, Kuckuck, Hühnern, Tauben und diversen weiteren Vögeln wider.
