Rita Coolidge - Heartbreak Radio (1981)

Rita Coolidge's first album of the 1980s is a classic Coolidge recording. She should have had a #1 hit with "The Closer You Get," which she recorded years before Alabama. In no small part, this album's artistry is due to Andrew Gold's production and stellar musicianship, as much to Coolidge's gorgeous vocals. And the songs! There's no way to pick a favorite, because they're all great.
