Boris Giltburg is an Israeli pianist. Born in Russia, he began playing the piano at age five and studied with his mother. Following his move to Tel Aviv, he studied with Arie Vardi from 1995 to 2007. In 2002, he played the Bartók Piano Concerto No. 3 with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Paloma O'Shea International Piano Competition. Giltburg has performed with many orchestras, including the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Malmo Symphony Orchestra, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic, the Rotterdam Philharmonic, and the Israel Philharmonic, among others. In 2013, he won the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. As a chamber musician, Giltburg has played with the Pavel Haas Quartet and the Takács Quartet. Giltburg has recorded for Naxos, Orchid Classics, and Telos Music.
