German progressive/art rock band . Short lived, Scaramouch released 3 albums. Singing in English, the band can, at times, come at you with direct and straight forward rock while at other times their theatrical and art sensibilities result in songs that might remind one of Queen or even 10cc at times.
Not to be confused with the earlier German band of the same name (see Scaramouche (4)), the nineties Scaramouche were originally known as Acres Wild and began life in the early 90s as a quintet fronted by Kai Escher. The name change occurred upon his departure and the band signed to ZYX Records, the label releasing the debut album 'Born In December' in 1995.
