The Classical Jazz Quartet were hailed by critics as superior to the MJQ. They made three albums during 2001/2002, dedicated to Bob Belden's arrangements of Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Bach (plus an extra track of Handel's Messiah) - all included here. The group was made up of four legendary jazz artists - Kenny Barron,Stefon Harris, Ron Carter and Lewis Nash.
