Joanne Keegan - Moody Woman (2019)

Moody Woman is the debut album from Irish Blues, Jazz and Roots artist Joanne Keegan. The album features twelve mostly self-penned tunes ranging through a mixture of Blues, Jazz, Soul, Gospel and Roots music styles. All brought together by Joanne’s confident and subtle vocals and introspective and personal song writing.

Standout tracks include Lost Poem with its wistful mixture of Celtic Soul and torch singing, Don’t Slight Me Again featuring tour de force vocals, dark verses and buoyant Northern Soul influenced choruses and the title track Moody Woman, with its reflective, dreamy Soul/Jazz.

The album was produced by Joanne and her song writing partner, Eddie Walsh, and was recorded at Clewbay Recording Studio, Westport Co. Mayo, Ireland. It features some of the finest musicians in the West of Ireland.

Joanne is a native of Westport and has performed throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and Canada.
