Growl - Growl (Reissue) (1974/2007)

The only album of the group from California, formed in 1969. All musicians, except guitarist Mick Small, were former members of the group "Utopia". The album was released in 1974 with the help of producer Robert Duffey on "DiscReet Records" (Frank Zappa & Herb Cohen) and combined elements of rock and roll, hard rock, blues and rock. There are echoes of Johnny Winter and the early "Creedence Clearwater Revival". In general, it turned out to be a very good, but short album, which deserves more attention than it received. Like many groups in the early and mid-seventies, "Growl" disappeared into obscurity in 1974.
