Veli Kujala is famous as a highly versatile musician with a repertoire that takes in everything from the very latest, hyper-complex compositions and free improvisation to transcriptions of Baroque and Romantic works, Impressionism and jazz in numerous manifestations. He actively commissions and premieres new works and plays in several chamber ensembles and bands. The composing he began as a child continues and has, in the past ten years, become an increasingly significant element of his artistic career.
