Sharky - Fruit (2019)

Solo artist Sharky has finally released her eagerly awaited first EP following the release of its’ title track ‘Fruit’. The 28-year-old singer developed the EP alongside Todd and Guy Speakman, known as the producer duo Speakman Sound. Before moving to London and working with the pair Sharky found creating music alone was isolating her as an artist. Her 5 track collection of genre-bending melodies and other wordly sounds opens with ‘Intro’. It’s refreshing to have an entirely saxophone track, which introduces the listener straight away to the different Sound of Sharky. ‘Intro’ melts into the EP’s title track ‘Fruit’ which heavily contrasts what came before it with heavy beats and a kalidescopic synth sound.
