Jugalbandi Trio - Doab (2005)

The group Jugalbandi trio (India / Belgium) was born from the meeting of an Indian percussionnist, of a pianist of jazz, and of a flutist playing the Indian music since many years. After « Daob », here is « Brindiban », their second album. "Jugalbandi Trio proposes a subtle mix between two great traditions of improvised musics, music of Northern India and Jazz. From the openmindedness of this trio was born an original music and from any beauty. Indeed, all is deep and powerful in the second album of this intercontinental trio, bringing the harmony of the piano to compositions written in the Indian complex rhythmic cycles."
