Djama Keita is a musician, author and composer born in Martinique (France) in 1978. To sum him up in a single sentence: he is a dedicated artist.

Introduced to the drum by his father (a writer and storyteller) and by his mother (a theatre performer and teacher of creative arts); from an early age he was immersed in the rich and expressive artistic universe of Afro-Caribbean culture.

To perfect his musical training he learned piano, but quickly realised that lyrics and poetry gave music its essential function: communication. He choose to convey his ideas, emotions or just tell a story in songs. His performances were recognised not only for the quality of his voice but also for his lyrics.

Djama gradually assembled a professional network that has allowed him to progress his career in bringing his style to many Reggae-Dancehall and Hip-Hop projects.
