Here we have further reinforcement of the enduring reenergizing force of a group of true jazz all Stars that were origionally formed for a gig at Seventh Avenue South and now together on a informally formal basis several times a year. The horns are saxophonist Jimmy Heath and trombonist Slide Hampton. The rhythm section is equally star-studded and leaderful. Pianist Kenny Barron, is a key member of this group and Ron Carter on Bass and Art Taylor on drums. The five all star leaders interact as five parts of a very special organized whole.
