It is the good experience and response from the audience at several years of Kaffe concerts in Mølholm Church that has led to the idea of publishing a CD of early Baroque music. The music was written between the 16th century and the 17th century. There is both cheerful and quieter music from Germany, the Netherlands and Italy.

The CD was recorded at the new "Swallowed organ" in Sct. Peders Church, Næstved. The organ here is brand new, but built on historical model. In the 16th century there was a similar instrument in the church, and this has now been attempted. The organ is tuned in a slightly different mood than the one we are used to on modern instruments today. This means that some key words are exceptionally clean and clear, while others are similarly "false" - and then only used for special effects.

Vibeke Astner is a trained concert soloist from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Since 2001 she has been an organist at Mølholm Church.
