The DaddyO's Band first formed and started performing in the 1990s around a local music store called DaddyO's Gold City Guitars and Repairs. Their self selected cover playlists were unique and many little known, but a loyal local following formed and spread throughout the Georgia adjacent Southeast. The band was best known for playing R&B / Jump Blues music that would get folks up and dancing, and the DaddyO's played clubs, music halls, and festivals in their general area. The artists, the band core crew, that you will hear in this collection of 10 cover tunes and 1 original are; Mark "DaddyO" Agababian (guitars and vocals), John Barry (bass), Jim Boys (vocals), Doctor Phil Mengel (drums), Merritt Smith (guitars and vocals), and Howard Williams (harp). The band is no longer active under that name, and two of the key members (Mark and Phil) have gone on. This record is a tribute to those boys, the rest of the guys, families, friends, followers, and those days when the DaddyO's took the stage!
