Let John Arne Rånes himself speak:
"Some things happen in the bathroom that are untold and untouched. The endless staring at one's own reflection, gravity's grip of an empty toilet roll, the silent longing to be in the room of the living where there is a potential for presence of others. A frenetic being occupies this space without any conscious aesthetic preference or care for anything else then the present moment. Moving from the shower to the toilet the being touches the wet shirts and pants that have been at the gallows for days without drying one bit. The concrete flooring, painted light blue, follows the temperature of its wild and undomesticated rocks to the dot and makes wool a requirement. There are only three possible things growing in this space: fungus, cockroaches and mental illness."
