Album Notes
In my previous CD, Mystic Vision I created all the songs as a call for healing as a compilation CD to my book Mindful Drumming: Ancient Wisdom for Unleashing the Human Spirit and Building Community. Mystic Vision was a new trend of music for people to experience the drum, as a non-verbal and mystical way to connect with God’s love and to evoke inner peace and happiness while building community.

As such, the vision and inspiration for Quest is a continuation and follow up from my previous work. I had always believed that whenever we humans forget our connection to God, the universe, sun, moon, stars, mother Earth, our four legged cousins and the global community. Music is a path to reconnect us to each other; to open our heart and to heal all fractured relationships.

Quest in contrast to Mystic Vision is truly a world beat. It has jazz, Brazilian and African folk music.

All the music was inspired to correct our alienation to each other, mother earth and the environmental issues facing our global community.
