Ashton Shepherd - Sounds So Good (2008)

Hailing from Leroy, Alabama, 21 year old Ashton Shepherd has become one of Nashville's most talked about and acclaimed new artists. Ashton's pure, Classic Country voice exemplifies an authentic sound that Country music has not witnessed in years, and her songs show that she is a feisty, country gal waiting to break loose. 'This is what I was born to do,' says Ashton in her honey-smooth, deep-Alabama accent. ' I've got notebooks where I was writing down songs when I couldn't even spell correctly, from the time I was five, six, seven years old.' Less than a year after moving to Nashville, Ashton recorded her debut album, Sounds So Good, with celebrated producer Buddy Cannon (Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, etc.). Of the 11 songs on her album, Ashton wrote and/or co-wrote 10 of them, all before her 21st birthday.
