John McDonald has been playing Martin guitar and singing blues and other stuff for over 50 years. He was leader of the famous Bay Area band "Buddy Funk" in the 1970s. He has opened for such notables as Middy Waters. He is influenced by traditional blues musicians like Robert Johnson and Jesse Fuller and contemporary artists like Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, and John Pine.
