Quantic & Nidia Góngora - Muevelo Negro / Nanguita (2013)

For their latest release, the ever pioneering Tru Thoughts have ventured, if not quite boldly where no man has gone before, then pretty far at least. What they've come up with is two tracks by Columbian singer Nidia Gongora for what they've deemed "a progressive and experimental take on the Pacific music of Colombia". Heavily percussive with hip swaying rhythms and almost tribal chants, this EP is a deliciously exotic ride!
