Roberto Forés Veses, born in Spain, studied conducting at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Winner of the Orvieto and Evgeny Svetlanov competitions, he regularly conducts many orchestras (Luxembourg Philharmonic, St-Petersburg, NHK Symphonic) and is the guest of prestigious festivals (Murten Classics, Stresa Festival, Folle Journée de Nantes and Tokyo).

In 2019-2020, in addition to an intense season in Clermont Ferrand with the National Orchestra of Auvergne, he is on tour with his orchestra in South America and Japan. In addition, he holds the baton of NHK symphony orchestras in Tokyo, Odense, Salta and Yamagata; the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the Bordeaux National Orchestra, the Cannes Orchestra, the Valencia Orchestra and the Russian State Symphony Orchestra "Evgeny Svetlanov" during the Univers Svetlanov festival. On the opera side, his future projects include the Abduction from the Seraglio by Mozart at the operas of Reims, Clermont-Ferrand, Massy and Avignon ...

The Orchester d'Auvergne cultivates artistic excellence, the only one capable of revealing and renewing the pleasures, sensations and fulfillment of musicians and therefore of audiences.

The commitment of the musicians and musical directors who have marked the history of the orchestra (Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Arie van Beek and Roberto Forés Veses), promotes the realization of numerous tours and a renewed discography. True to its regional roots, the orchestra performs as close as possible to its audiences in Auvergne and Clermont-Ferrand, to allow everyone to access the benefits of music.

Roberto Forés Veses, musical and artistic director since 2012, feeds an artistic project rooted in its territory and open to the world.

The 2019-2020 season will continue these musical encounters with, among others, Christian Zacharias, Javier Perianes, Steven Isserlis, James Ehnes, Anssi Karttunen ... The highlights of the season will be marked by concerts at the Invalides in Paris and at Auditorium of Lyon. Among the projects is a tour of South America in September and Japan in May 2020.
