Giba Guitar Byblos is a Brazilian guitar player with a fat tone who idolizes Freddie King and Lonnie Brooks. Man, he knows how to play! He also pays tribute to other Chicago greats with melodies recalling Otis Rush and throws back a dose of bourbon with Junior Wells flare. This killer CD is hilarious, too- "My Duty is to please your ..." If you can't understand his Portuguese/English accent and don't know what rhymes with Duty, then go re-visit the movie "Shaft!" Giba Guitar Byblos definitely helps to keep the Blues flame lit.
