DJ Küsse, Khshathra - Sensible Seelen, Vol. 1 (2020)

Sensible Seelen began as somewhat of a pipe dream between friends Tim, Rebecca and Pete upon meeting in Berlin in the Summer of 2018. Whilst very aware of the cliché of starting both a label and club night in Berlin, all believed in the music they were making and playing enough to bring the idea into fruition. As such, the label has started with an ambitious 10-track tape and digital release featuring music from both Tim (Khshathra) and Pete (DJ Küsse) and also recruits close friends Samo DJ (with whom DJ Küsse shared his first release with on Born Free) and Karima F to provide two stomping remixes. The collection of tracks balance each other out perfectly, with DJ Küsse bringing a nostalgic naivety to his interpretation of club music, and Khshathra leveling things out with a dense, jazz-referenced take on experimental house music. Both producers also collaborate on the record, combining both their efforts to create two drawn out, melancholic tales for the dance floor and emotional home-listeners alike.
