Matthieu Faubourg - Simplicity Is The Ultimate Sophistication (2020)

Matthieu Faubourg's 1st album was the opportunity for him to express deeper shapes of his personality. It took Matthieu almost a year to compose it, mostly in Vienna. The whole album was created around one master idea: sobriety. Matthieu's plan was to create a soundtrack that envelops body and soul, like a journey for the mind.

The music on this album is not necessarily aimed at clubs. Melancholy can be heavily felt on this album, for instance in the beautiful featuring with the German singer Meggy.

Also, this project is blessed with an energetic remix by none other than Byron The Aquarius. Constant traveling and hours spent alone on the road are things that have had a big influence on this album. "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication", a quote from Leonardo Da Vinci, speaks to Matthieu in a way that he finds beauty and joy in simple things of life.
