The award-winning works were presented to the audience in music markets and digital platforms with the album titled “Piano Quartet” at the national composition competition organized by Kadıköy Municipality Süreyya Opera House for the third time this year.

In the "National Composition Contest 2019" organized by the Kadıköy Municipality Süreyya Opera, which contributes significantly to the music life of Istanbul and our country, the works of the composers who received awards were gathered in the album "Piano Quartet". The album, published by Lila Music with the contributions of Kadıköy Municipality, includes the works of Doğaç İşbilen, Recep Gül, Mustafa Kemal Saydam and Yusuf İzeddin Mesçi.

In order to enrich the music repertoire and encourage young Turkish composers, the awards of competitors under the age of 35 were invited to their owners at a ceremony held in February. The works participating in the contest were evaluated by a jury consisting of the leading names in our classical music world. The jury included pianist Ayşegül Sarıca, Gülsin Onay, composer-musicologist-music theorist Yalçın Tura, violin artist Cihat Aşkın, composer Oğuzhan Balcı, Turgay Erdener and Özkan Manav.

On the final night, the jury gave the first place to Doğuş İşbilen's Four of Piano, the second and the Audience Special Award, Recep Gül's Journey, the third place to Mustafa Kemal Saydam's Three Colors and the honorable mention to Yusuf Izeddin Mesçi's Firuze. . The works in the album were performed by the leading master commentators of our country, Özcan Ulucan (violin), Ulrich Mertin (viola), Ozan Evrim Tunca (violoncello) and Birsen Ulucan (pianist).

The photographs in the booklet were taken by Emre Başak while Can Aykal and the cantonet were designed by Gözde Oral while the records of the album "Piyanolu Dortlüler" were recorded. The album "Piyanolu Dortlüler", published by Kadıköy Municipality as a cultural service, is available in music markets and digital platforms.
