Rockmelons - Tales Of The City & Form One Planet (1988 & 1992)

This was the debut album for the Australian pop/dance/R&B group, released in 1988. It included covers of Curtis Mayfield's "Jump" and Al Green's "Rhymes".
All but one of the tracks featured John Kenny on lead vocals with Wendy Matthews assuming the vocal duties on "Jump". The album won an ARIA award in 1988 for Best Debut Album.

Rockmelons, often referred to as the Rockies, were an Australian Pop/Dance/R&B group formed in 1983 in Sydney whose primary members were Bryon Jones, his brother Jonathon Jones and Raymond Medhurst. The first line-up also included keyboardist Vinnie Dale and three vocalists - Peter Blakeley, John Kenny and Sandi Chick while other guest performers often swelled the band to ten or more members on stage at any one time.
They re-emerged in 1991 with new vocalist Deni Hines and scored a hit with a cover of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" which peaked at number five followed by "That Word (L.O.V.E.)" which reached number four.
This is their second album which features lead vocals from Deni Hines, Doug Williams, Eric Sebastian, Johanna Pigott and Kye.
