Little Blue Slim - Naturalmente (2019)

Placed in the "dream drawer" for some time, "Naturalmente" arrives with surprise, the new album of unreleased tracks by Umbrian one-man-band Little Blue Slim. This new work can be considered "a family album", not of photographs but of songs. The companions Arianna Fiandrini (voices), but also the "Uncle" Mario (sax and flute), her brother Manuel (piano and choir arrangement) and even father Giampiero (his only ones) took part in the recordings as guests. of trumpet and flugelhorn). The colors are then added by other musicians: Emy Stery, Laura Medeo and Ilaria Mancini (Trasimeno Gospel Choir), Antonio Ballarano (Voce), Luca Grassi (double bass) and Roberto Gatti (percussion). The musical result is a colorful and relaxed record, which gives an unexpected image and sound to Little Blue Slim, who in recent years has accustomed us to the shoes of a rural One Man Band equipped with guitar, harmonica and foot-drums. Here there is space for fantasy writing and solar creativity (proof of this is "Fuori c'è il Sole", a nice incursion in Italian), but also to keep the roots of the most expensive sounds as in "Cry So Hard" and "Ringinin 'in My Head". If this is the result we hope that Little Blue Slim will open more often - for him and for us - the drawer of dreams!
