PC ENERGETIC is the international trio of multi-award-winning guitarist Philip Czarnecki. It stands for a fat, modern and colorful sound. The joy of improvisation of jazz meets the sound aesthetics and energy of rock and funk. The result is rocky and funky guitar riffs, energetic solos and compositions that live from rich rhythmic and harmonic complexity, but at the same time are full of narrative melodies. Bassist Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cuniado and drummer Marc Ayza also ensure the powerful, yet complex sound.
Internationally renowned guest musicians can also be heard on her debut album “Illusion”: Jasper Blom (saxophone) and Rakel Salazar (vocals). The album was released in January 2015 in the renowned “JazzThing Next Generation” series. Their second album "Course of the World" was released in April 2020 and underlines the band's forefront to push the boundaries of improvised music.
"Course of the World" is a presentation of an individual style in which fine and refined jazz meets the power of good old fusion. Philip Czarnecki is an excellently trained guitarist: absolutely no negative word can be said about his technique, articulation, phrasing and his improvising spirit, endless rays of melodies pour out from under his fingers, reminiscent of wonderful years of fusion.
Philip Czarnecki is one of the most mature sounding young guitarists I've heard lately. In his game you will find the legacy of the legends of the bebop era, on the one hand, and a captivating, simple lightness and youthful boldness. His album "Course of the World", accompanied by the excellent rhythm group: Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cunaido - bass and Marc Ayza - drums, is a feast for lovers of juicy, guitar-focused jazz fusion.
