"Reimagined - Songs of Elis Regina," is the fifth release from internationally acclaimed act, Nossa Bossa Nova. It's a new, modern take on a new set of songs, originally recorded by the late Brazilian superstar, Elis Regina. It takes cues from DJ's and the Bossa Nova remix scene, while incorporating all of the great musical moments you've come to expect from Nossa Bossa Nova. In addition to the sensual vocal stylings of Theresa Levy, the new CD features the talents of several top players. You'll find great jazz playing by saxophonist Brice Winston (of Terence Blanchard), and trumpeter Jason Carder (of Yani), as well as terrific input by several other great players. "Reimagined," is a fun, classy, homage to great songs and a great singer.
