Atom Smith - Makin' Trouble (2026) [Hi-Res]

Los Angeles electro swing producer Atom Smith spent two years on the road, riding a motorcycle through Vietnam’s Ha Giang Loop and later along Route 66, reflecting on life from the saddle. The result is Makin’ Trouble, an 11-track blast of vintage remix culture in which swinging brass and bass-heavy beats weave together themes of good and bad, trouble and redemption.

The album draws on the musical family Atom has built over years of producing, performing and collaborating: lyrics come from Miss Emmma, Alanna Lyes and Burkey, while Atom’s trademark blend of vintage and modern production ties it all together. The sound thrives on contrast: 1920s-style brass meets electronics, smoky swing meets hip-hop, and dark moments give way to irresistible dancefloor energy.

Atom’s earlier albums, BASS AGE BIG BAND and PLAYING WITH FIRE, along with a string of singles from Makin’ Trouble, have already passed 12 million streams.
