Aki Rissanen - Aleatoric: Songs for Solstice (2017/2020)

A Belgian-Finnish trio underlines that music, especially jazz, knows no boundaries. In view of the ever increasing call for isolation, accompanied by the construction of walls, one should not underestimate the power of art and music that opposes this trend. Völkisch and the idea of "We here and her there" are alien to jazz anyway, because their roots lie in swing and blues, lie in the rhythms of Africa and the polyrhythms of the Balkans, so they are mondial and not national.
