Raoul Björkenheim, Paal Nilssen-Love - PING (2026) [Hi-Res]

Ping is a new collaborative album by Finnish-American guitarist Raoul Björkenheim and Norwegian drummer Paal Nilssen-Love. The duo recorded nine pieces of genre-defying improvised music in Helsinki. The project reunites the longtime partners, who previously worked together in Scorch Trio, to explore a sound that is raw yet deeply expressive.

Raoul Björkenheim brings his signature expressionistic guitar style, a hallmark of his four-decade career. Paal Nilssen-Love complements it with his extensive experience as one of the leading figures in Scandinavian free jazz. Released by We Jazz Records, the album reflects the deep musical trust and rich creative history shared by the two musicians.
