This is the second EP 'Spring Greetings' from Yuki Murata, the Tokyo-based pianist and member of cinematic instrumental music band, Anoice, alternative rock band, RiLF, and the dark classical/electronica unit, Films.
One day in the beginning of spring, several months after the coronavirus began to spread throughout the world, Yuki Murata recorded the improvisations on her pianos by herself for this EP at Anoice Studio. Just like her first solo album, 'Films', it she wrote following her heart and produced a collection of pure and warm piano solo compositions.
This time, she played three pianos; one is a Yamaha grand piano which she typically uses as her main instrument and is available to hear on most songs of not only her solo project, but also Anoice and Films, the second is an old Fukuyama grand piano manufactured in the 1960s, and the third is an old Yamaha upright piano of the same generation. You can hear not only her beautiful signature sound, but also timeless gentle melodies played by antique pianos which she rarely uses for recording.
