* Graham Day is one of the most amazing songwriters of his generation, blessed with an incredible voice, and he plays a mean guitar as well. His work with the Prisoners has been rightly hailed in many quarters, with Uncut magazine declaring their "Last Fourfathers" album as one of the most influential of the 1980s. Graham has continued to produce stunning work with all his incarnations since the Prisoners split, and some of the finest came with his mid-90s outfit, Planet.

* Planet were a power trio who recorded an album and a handful of singles for Acid Jazz's rock subsidiary Focus. It was a bold attempt to record in Graham's analogue manner, but with a more contemporary feel. Whilst some of the more hard-edged rock influences of the day are definitely present, Graham's songwriting is rooted in the classic 60s influences that inform all. His voice on these recordings is astounding; deep and soulful.
