Alexander Wienand Trio - Get The Cat (2020) FLAC

Alexander Wienand (born 1982) is a composing pianist for whom the worlds of jazz and so-called serious music have been inseparable from the very beginning. That is why the key artist was met with his trio or as a sideman on the one hand at jazz festivals such as the Cologne Jazznight, the Jazzahead Bremen or the Düsseldorf Festival. On the other hand, he could be heard with his own projects on classical stages such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Bad Kissinger Klaviersommer or the Musikfest Stuttgart. Several CDs and productions for the BR, MDR, HR document his work with different ensembles. Wienand began his training as a classical concert pianist with Marianne Bender (Calw), Prof. Friedemann Rieger (Stuttgart) and Klaus Eidmann (Detmold). He then attended the University of Music in Würzburg and completed his studies with degrees in jazz piano (artistic subject with Tine Schneider) and classical piano (artistic and educational subject with Eva May). Master classes with Jacky Terrasson, Misha Mengelberg, Barry Harris, Hubert Nuss, Begona Uriarte, Karl Hermann Mrongovius and André Marchand deepen his education. Wienand lives and works in Berlin as a pianist, composer and teacher for piano, jazz piano, theory / ear training.
