This is one of the most wonderful recordings of acoustic Jazz I have ever heard. I have a lot of Hi Def music and I can tell you that just because something has a high bit rate does not guarantee a quality sounding recording. That, however is not the case here. Clearly the greatest care was taken with all aspects of the acoustics and recording. Of course a technically great sounding recording is not all that is required for a rewarding listening experience. The music has to be something that draws you back again and again as well. That, at least for me, is certainly the case here. The musicianship is excellent. It has kind of a Narada Jazz meets Windham Hill in Norway sound. It is a peaceful album, but not bland. The music enfolds you and you feel as if you are standing right there in the midst of it all. If you like this kind of music at all I highly recommend you give this a try.
